THE BIG ONE: SRAM Joins Thunderbolts for our 10th Anniversary!
It’s been a massive few weeks behind the scenes here at Graveleur HQ. As we gear up for the 10th anniversary of Thunderbolts Adventure in April 2026, the stars are aligning to make this our most iconic event yet.
Today, we are thrilled to announce that SRAM has officially joined the Graveleur family as a major partner for the series!
Tech Support Where it Matters
When you’re 100km deep in the rugged Barrington Tops, gear failure isn't just an inconvenience — it’s an adventure-stopper. That’s why the biggest win in this partnership is the introduction of SRAM On-Road Neutral Support.
The SRAM team will be out on the course during the event, providing mechanical support to keep you moving. Whether you’re running their unrivalled new 13-speed XPLR groupset or just need a hand getting back to Gloucester, having the best in the biz by your side is a total game-changer for the series.
A "Monumental" Throwback
The 10th anniversary is all about looking back at where we started. Due to some recent road closures and a "missing" bridge, we’ve pivoted the 2026 Monument course to a 173km / 3,500m vert layout.
Ironically, this shift has brought us right back to the spirit of our original 2017 route! It’s shorter than recent years, but don’t be fooled—it’s still a monumental day in the saddle with 65% prime gravel. We've also locked in The Colt (95km) and the brand new Remington (40km) for those looking for a spicy loop or a social cruise.
Riding with Purpose: The Laverton Cycling Project
This year, your entry does more than just secure your spot on the start line. Graveleur has officially partnered with the Cycling Development Foundation (CDF) to support the Laverton Cycling Project.
Based in the remote Goldfields of WA, this project provides bikes, mentoring, and mechanical skills to young people who otherwise wouldn't have access to the sport. When you register for any Graveleur event in 2026, you'll have the option to chip in and help us turn our collective passion for riding into tangible support for these legends in the outback.
The Prize Pool: "The Oprah Effect"
With SRAM joining our long-time legends POC and Easton, the prize pool for 2026 is officially overflowing. We’ll be awarding the fastest finishers, of course, but we’re also looking out for our Good Samaritans, the Lanterne Rouge, and plenty of lucky door winners.
Expect plenty of world-class gear to be handed out... Basically, if you’re there, you’ve got a chance to win.
Join Us at Dawn
Finally, a reminder that we roll out on Saturday, April 25 (ANZAC Day). We’ll begin the day with a special 5:00 AM Dawn Service in Gloucester—a moment of profound gratitude before we hit the dirt.
Registration is open now. Don't forget to grab your limited edition 10th Anniversary jersey at checkout to commemorate a decade of Thunderbolts!
