Thunderbolts Adventure Gloucester NSW
The Monument, The Colt & The Remington
24 April 2027
Thunderbolts #11 –
Are You Ready to Send It?
Back in 2017, a frothing pack of 40-odd legends lined up for the first-ever Thunderbolts Adventure—a beast of a ride spanning 230km and 5,000m of quad-busting elevation with gradients often exceeding 10%. It was wild, it was brutal, and it was unforgettable.
In 2026 we had a record sell out crowd. It seems we finally cracked the formula: A one-day monument that still packs a big punch 173km and 3,500 vertical metres plus two shorter courses that still get onto some champagne gravel; The Colt and Remington courses of 95km and 40km respectively
Make it a pilgrimage to where it all began. Australia’s greatest and longest continuously running Gravel Adventure.
Added to that, the next day (Sunday) is ANZAC day. Join us in Gloucester at 5am, Sunday April 25 at the clocktower for what is always a very special dawn service. We’'ll mix with the locals before rolling out for our after party recovery ride.
Courses - we have options people!
The Monument
This is the BIG ONE but not as you know. A new twist on the classic course with a shortcut to make it just that little more accessible. Now 173km and 3,526vm return to Gloucester.

The Colt
Introduced in 2025 this 95km loop is still spicy, but a bit less of the lung busting and more of the heart soother.
Start at 8:00 AM Saturday April 25, 2026 at the Gloucester Recreation Centre.
The Remington
A new 40km loop for those that like to cruise.
