Come and ride Australia’s longest rail trail! The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail stretches 161km from Wulkuraka outside Ipswich, well into cattle and timber country at Yarraman. Join Bicycle Queensland for a 3-day point to point adventure on the rail trail. They will transport riders and their gear to Yarraman for the first day’s ride off the plateau to Linville, riding down the range from Blackbutt to right near the start of the Brisbane River. Your first camp will have all your meals, free entertainment and full amenities – while being across the road from the iconic Linville Hotel.
On Day 2 riders ride to Esk, via the Yimbun rail tunnel and past the sights of the Brisbane River Valley. Your second camp is right next to the Esk Showgrounds, with all meals, amenities and entertainment provided. The township of Esk is just an easy freewheel away for anything you may need.
The final day is the homestretch to Wulkuraka along some of the most popular sections of the BVRT, winding through Fernvale and to the outskirts of Ipswich. Leave the planning to Bicycle Queensland and come and ride the BVRT this July.
Key points: QLD’s champagne gravel, but with a mixture of Passion Pop through to Moet. Fully catered, completely off-road (save for road crossings)
