Thunderbolts Adventure - 10th Anniversary

  • The Roundabout Inn Gloucester NSW Australia (map)

The legend lives on. Australia's greatest and longest running gravel monument. This will be the 10th anniversary edition and we want you to join us.

Starting with registration on Friday night at The Roundabout Inn, we'll then get an early night and gather at 5am for the Anzac Day dawn service in Gloucester. The Monument riders will then set off first, followed by the Colt and Remington a little later in the morning.

Saturday night we'll all gather at the Avon Valley Inn and welcome the Monument and Flashpacker riders as they arrive to join the most memorable gravel celebration ever!

Sunday morning will be an optional informal coffee ride.

Choose from a number of course options:

  • The Monument: 173km and 3,500 vertical metres

  • The Colt: 93km and 1,460 vertical metres

  • The Remington: 46km and 602 vertical metres

  • The Pilgrim: Choose from a number of fully vetted routes starting in different locations and ride self-supported to arrive in Gloucester the evening of April 25 and join the celebration. This is designed as a multi-day bike-packing experience.

NOTE: There is no overnighter for 2026. There "may" be a very casual recovery/coffee ride Sunday morning. Meet at The Common ready to roll out at 8am.

This is Thunderbolts Adventure

Your ride will feature a gravel cycling party with all the trimmings you've come to appreciate from Graveleur. Your entry fee of $179* (Monument), $159* (Colt & Remington) gets you:

  • Professional Timing.

  • Professional event pics from ReadyAimMedia.

  • On course Feed zone and mechanical support. Sports drink gels and snacks provided.

  • Fully insured event with approval from local council and authorities.

  • Goodies bag including your own limited edition commemorative patch.

  • A huge cache of prizes kindly donated by our sponsors. Prizes will be allocated on a first entered, best prize basis. Enter earlier for the chance of a better prize!

  • Closed venue on Saturday night, only for riders and their entourage.

  • (*) Enter early and pay less for your entry.

The Monument:

The classic course but not as you know it. In 2026 we will be bypassing Moonan Flat by following Pheasant Creek Rd off the range, thereby reducing the challenge to something a little more accessible for our weekend warriors. There are strict cutoffs and standards to be met if you want to give this a go. Start preparing now.

The Colt:

New in 2025, "The Colt" rose to instant success with all the gravel you love without the quad busting climbs and we get you back to Gloucester for a nap so you are ready to celebrate on Saturday night. Book the accomodation of your choice. 93km and 1460 vertical meters is a solid day out in anyone’s books, but totally acheivable.

The Remington:

For those who prefer to tour at a relaxed pace. If you like to stop for a coffee, turn off for a picnic, and take a stroll to admire the view, this one is for you. Enjoy this course that takes in some of the best backroads surrounding Gloucester.

The Pilgrim:

If you like to carry all the gear and set off on a multi-day adventure, sign up for this one. We'll provide you with a choice of vetted courses and be waiting to welcome you in Gloucester at the finish.

Team Discount: 10% for a group of 5 or more riders registered in one transaction. Choose someone from your tribe to create a team and enter 5 riders. Then share your team code with others.

Family Discount: 2-4 riders at the same address. 25% discount for riders 2-4 registered in one transaction.

History: The Barrington Tops lies at the boundary of three Aboriginal territories, the lands of the Worimi people of the south-east, the Biripi people of the east and the Wonnarua people of the west. Graveleur would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of these lands and pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.

Book your accomodation of choice. Check the event web page for detailed schedule.
