Get Ready, Clarkes Gambit is Back
Our biggest event ever took place in 2023 and we just made it to the finish, gasp! We were literally paddling crazy like a duck under stillwaters to keep you all safe, fed and watered. The feedback was super positive but that’s not to say we can’t make it better. We still need to tinker with the courses, especially the epic we designed for Sunday’s long course!
We can’t wait to see you again in 2024.
Courses (to be updated for 2024)
Imagine you have just finished a days cycling on mint gravel backroads. You are tired but feel at peace as you enjoy a drink with your friends and family at the SteamPacket Hotel and watch the sunset.
You know a big feed is coming up and a sweet car camping setup awaits your weary bones. And the best thing is you get to do it all again tomorrow.
This is Clarkes Gambit.
The event name seeks to build on our Bushranger series of events; the Clarke gang led by brothers Thomas and John Clarke, were the nation’s deadliest bushrangers that rustled livestock, ambushed gold shipments and robbed traders from Braidwood to Bega in southern New South Wales in the mid 1860’s.
On the 26 – 27 October 2024, we’ll be descending on the sleepy little town of Nelligen, NSW once again for what promises to be another epic weekend of riding groomed gravel roads through the on the banks of Clyde River.
It will have all the hallmarks of what you’ve come to expect from Graveleur, fun, social, inclusive riding on exceptional gravel roads and the best on course support you’ll find anywhere. Hope to see you there!
Clarkes Gambit is proud to be partnering with the Eurobodalla Shire Council to bring you this event.
