Grab your gravel/CX rig for a wild race through remote wilderness and farm country. We have been researching the Barrington Tops area for years to pull together the best we roads we can find into an epic adventure.
Race for a podium or grab some mates and race for survival.
Distance: 220kms +
Elevation gain: 5000vm
Road Surface: 90%+ gravel
The exact route will be released to entrants a couple of weeks prior to the event. However, we can say you’ll get some climbing in. The route is a loop starting (and finishing) in Gloucester. You’ll traverse the Barrington Tops and max out at over 1,500m above sea level.
You’re on your own. There won’t be a sag waggon if your legs get a bit tired. But because this is a long and remote route there will be two check-in points where you’ll be able to fill up bottles. First will be Moonan Brook Pub and secondly we’ll have a car on a long remote section who will bring out some pre-arranged bottles. We’ll also have someone drive the route to ensure everyone gets back to Gloucester at some point (it may be late).
