Not July….unless you are one of the few faithful, a gravel tragic, one who searches for the purest experience, the perfect road, framed by the perfect view, against a backdrop of personal examination on the best course on offer anywhere in Australia, the World, or even the Universe.
Blue Metal Cycling and King Miller Events invite a limited number of devotees to ‘The Devils Cardigan’, departing again from the Mountain Biking Mecca of Blue Derby in Winter 2022.
In an attempt to deceive, the 95km course with 2200m of climbing sounds easy. Thoughts of a macchiato by 10am should be dismissed, and instead load up with extra nutrition. The varying road surfaces, the weather conditions and the extended climbs and pinches will test your fidelity to the goddess of gravel.
